Claudia did her early morning bush walk and enjoyed the
exercise as well as seeing a huge herd of giraffe and other plains game as well
as a Hyena hide. There are two Zebra that have adopted the Camp and been there
for 3 months, they wake you up at night munching on the grass around the tent.
An early start to go back into the Serengeti for the day and
we will be concentrating our efforts around the Seronera camp where there is
reported to be a concentration of game. What is noticeable is the lack of
signage in most of the Parks; thank goodness for the compass fitted to the car
otherwise I am sure we would have got lost a few times.
It is a good day with some good sightings and some fair
photos of Lion, Elephant, Eland, Giraffe and lots of birds.
We eat our lunch at the Seronera camp along with Dassies,
Starlings and several small birds that I could not identify; in fact it would
take up a whole page just listing what we saw.
We get pushed for time as we have to be out of the gate by
06h00pm.
Sinead has been a star and charms all who will listen with
her greeting, normally screamed, and her bye byes, but she is coming up with
new words and sounds every day. You ask her what sounds a Lion, Hippo, Pig,
Sheep and others make and she comes out with a very fair mimic. She has also
scared the hell out of a lot of game if they are in hearing distance when she
gets excited and screams out of the window.
Tomorrow we hit the road to Kenya and have the border to cope with
as well as a difficult car journey to the Masai Mara.
